Live Streaming Tutorial

Feature Introduction#

The Live Streaming module covers all capabilities of "Drone Video Transmission → Stream Push → Recording → Forwarding / Sharing" in FlightHub 2 On-Premises version, divided by responsibility:
Live Stream Push: Start / stop / lens switch / camera switch / quality adjust / viewer join report / refresh viewer Token at the drone source side, with two symmetrical sets of interfaces at the project dimension (recommended) and the organization dimension.
Recording Task Management: Cloud recording start / stop, query recording task list by device, covering both DRC paths and manage sub-service paths.
Live Sharing and Forwarding
Live Sharing: Project device live sharing details, all live sharing link lists under the project.
Bypass Stream Push (C2C Transcoder): Stream forwarder creation / edit / query / stop and delete.
Project Dimension vs Organization Dimension: All "Live Stream Push" interfaces exist in pairs, with paths in the form /projects/{proj_uuid}/... and /organizations/{org_uuid}/.... Business semantics are identical; the difference is the authentication scope; the project dimension path is recommended.
Recording server automatically obtains STS: When starting cloud recording, the client does not need to pass store_config; the server automatically obtains storage credentials from file-storage.
manage sub-service entry: POST /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1/projects/{uuid}/streams/start and POST /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1/projects/{uuid}/records/stop are the live / recording entries of the manage sub-service; the DRC version is recommended (/drc/api/v2/...).
Authentication Header: Most interfaces in this module (/drc/api/v2/.../live-channels/*, /manage/api/v1/projects/{uuid}/devices/{sn}/streams, /share/live/device-links/*, manage sub-service paths) use x-user-token; the bypass stream push /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1.0/stream-converters series uses X-Organization-Key separately (i.e., the OpenAPI organization key); see Call Guide → Public Parameters for details.

Interface Usage Flow#

Live Stream Push (Project Dimension, Recommended)#

Call steps:
1.
Start: Start Live Stream (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/stream/start). Request body fields: sn (device SN), camera (camera identifier, format domain-type-subtype, e.g. 52-0-0), video (video stream identifier, e.g. wide-0 / zoom-0 / thermal-0 / normal-0); optional gateway_sn, video_quality, force_switch, with_same_user, group. Returns pull stream URL, expiration timestamp, and the provider selected by the server (the backend actual enum includes volc_rtc / agora_rtc / drtc / srs; the provider is determined by the server, not the client's choice).
2.
Viewer join receipt: Report Viewer Joining Live Room Status (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/stream/state) — After the viewer end joins the live room, report success / failure; the server updates the room viewer count accordingly.
3.
Refresh Token: Update Viewer Token (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/stream/update-token) — Batch refresh stream engine access tokens for a batch of web viewers who have joined the live room. Request body fields: list (array, at least 1 item), each item in the form { sn, camera, gateway_sn, provider, user_id }.
4.
Dynamic quality adjustment: Set Live Quality (Project Dimension, Drone Source Push Quality) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/stream/set-quality) — Dynamically adjust quality without stopping / restarting the push.
5.
Switch camera / Switch lens:
Switch camera: Switch Live Camera (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/stream/change-camera) — Multi-camera models (such as H30 / M3D series). Request body: sn, camera, video, camera_position (integer, target camera position), optional gateway_sn.
Switch lens: Switch Lens (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/stream/change-lens) — Physical gimbal / camera lens switching. Request body: sn, camera, video, video_type (string, target lens type, such as wide / zoom / thermal / normal, etc.; specific values are subject to model capabilities), optional gateway_sn.
6.
Aggregated query: Query Device Live and Recording Status (Project Dimension) (GET /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1/projects/{uuid}/devices/{sn}/streams) — Simultaneously queries live push and recording task status, including created_by and other user information.
7.
Stop: Stop Live Stream (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/stream/stop).

Cloud Recording#

Call steps:

Start: Start Cloud Recording (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/record/start). The client does not need to pass store_config; the server automatically obtains storage STS from file-storage.
2.
Stop: Stop Cloud Recording (Project Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/record/stop), returns the recording task BID for subsequent query.
3.
Query: Query Device Recording Task List (Project Dimension) (GET /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/projects/{proj_uuid}/live-channels/record/device/{sn}) — Query all recording tasks registered in drc service for the specified device.
4.
Organization dimension corresponding paths:
Start Cloud Recording (Organization Dimension) (POST /openapi/v2.0/drc/api/v2/organizations/{org_uuid}/live-channels/record/start).

Live Sharing and Forwarding — Live Sharing#

Call steps:

Project-level list: Query All Live Sharing Links under the Project (GET /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1/projects/{proj_uuid}/share/live/device-links) — Only returns sharing links that are unexpired, uncancelled, and have devices in the project active set.
2.
Single device details: Get Device Live Sharing Details (GET /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1/projects/{uuid}/share/live/device-links/{sn}) — Returns null when not found.

Live Sharing and Forwarding — Bypass Stream Push (C2C Transcoder)#

The bypass stream push transcoder (C2C Stream Converter) is used to forward live streams already being pushed within FlightHub to third-party destinations again (such as GB28181 / RTMP push back to the customer's video center).
Call steps:
1.
List: Query Bypass Transcoder List of Current Organization (GET /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1.0/stream-converters) — All C2C bypass stream push transcoders under the current organization (identified by X-Organization-Key), filtered by channel (channel).
2.
Create / edit: Create/Update Stream Forwarder (C2C Bypass Stream Push) (POST /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1.0/stream-converters) — Switch between create / edit via converter_id.
3.
Stop + delete: Stop and Delete Specified Bypass Transcoder (C2C Live Bypass) (DELETE /openapi/v2.0/manage/api/v1.0/stream-converters/{converter_id}).
