Models Tutorial

Feature Introduction#

The Models module covers all capabilities of "Flight Collection → Real-time Mapping / Post-processing Reconstruction → Model Library Management → Map Display / Format Conversion / Sharing" in FlightHub 2 On-Premises version.
Divided by responsibility:
Model Library → Model File Management: Model file / model folder CRUD, upload completion callback, batch toggle show-on-map status, batch move, lock / unlock, share within organization, single file download URL, model format / coordinate system conversion, list of available WKT.
Model Library → Map Display: List of model layers on the map page (Post-processing) + batch toggle layer properties + drag-and-drop sorting; batch terrain loading status, drag-and-drop sorting, single entry metadata update of real-time mapping (Realtime2D) models on the map.
Reconstruction Tasks: List / initiate of real-time mapping (Realtime2D) tasks; initiate / stop / retry / default area of interest / quality report download for post-processing reconstruction (Post 2D / 3D) tasks; query waylines available for reconstruction; query flight task folders (wayline → media).
Standard storage chain: Consistent with media, "client gets STS → direct upload to OSS → call upload-callback to register". The On-Premises scenario skips payment verification and only performs storage resource verification.
Deletion mode: DELETE /files/{id} defaults to soft delete into the recycle bin and can be permanently deleted via additional parameters; locked model files are directly rejected for deletion (PermissionDenied).
Two usages of batch interfaces: Batch delete / move / toggle property interfaces all support two modes: "ids selection" and "selected_parent_id + filter conditions to select all". When ids is non-empty, selected_parent_id is ignored.

Interface Usage Flow#

Model File — Upload and Storage#

Call steps:
1.
Get STS (see Common Foundation Tutorial).
2.
Use the object storage SDK to directly upload under object_key_prefix.
3.
Model Upload Completion Callback (Called by Client, Not OSS Sign Verification) (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/upload-callback) notifies the server to register storage. Spec top-level fields: object_key (required), name, id, file_type, sub_file_type, parent_id, show_on_map, fingerprint, metadata, ext. Business context such as EXIF / shooting information is usually carried via metadata / ext.
The current V2.0 On-Premises spec has removed the independent model thumbnail registration interface (POST /files/preview-callback); if the deployment party still exposes this endpoint, please use it according to the on-site instructions; not within the scope of this tutorial.

Model File — List / Details / Maintenance#

Call steps:
1.
List: Get Project Model File List (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files).
2.
Total: Get Total Model File Count (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/file-count) — Reuses the list filter DTO.
3.
Details: Get Model File Details (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files/{id}) — Includes mapping metadata (coverage area / GSD / image source count), coordinate system, display properties.
4.
Modify basic info: Update Model Basic Info (PUT /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files/{id}) — name does not allow /.
5.
Create folder: Create Model Folder (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files).
6.
Batch toggle properties: Batch Toggle Model Show-on-Map Status (PUT /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files) — Toggle show / hide + distribute + display mode + altitude mode; when show_on_map is null, the permission check is skipped.
7.
Batch move: Batch Move Model Files (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files/move).
8.
Lock / unlock: Lock / Unlock Model File (PUT /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files/lock) — Locked files cannot be deleted.

Delete:
Single: Delete Single Model File (DELETE /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files/{id}) — Supports both recycle bin deletion (default) and permanent deletion modes.
Batch: Batch Delete Model Files (DELETE /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files) — Locked files return PermissionDenied; can specify ids for selective deletion, or selected_parent_id + filter conditions to select all for deletion.
10.
Share: Share within Organization Model (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files/share) — Share several model files under the current project to other projects within the organization.
11.
Download: Get Model File Download URL (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/files/{id}/url) — type defaults to 1 (standard download link).

Model Format / Coordinate System Conversion#

Call steps:
1.
Default coordinate system: Get Project Model Library Default Settings (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/default-settings).
2.
Available WKTs: Get List of Available Coordinate Systems (WKT) for the Project (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/wkts) — Divided into projected coordinate systems and geocentric coordinate systems.
3.
Initiate conversion: Initiate Model Format / Coordinate System Conversion Task (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/converters) — Request body form { id, wkt }: id is the source model file ID to be converted, wkt is the target coordinate system (must be taken from the available values returned by the GET /wkts interface).

Reconstruction Tasks — Real-time Mapping (Realtime2D)#

Call steps:
1.
Initiate: Initiate Real-time Mapping Task (Realtime2D) (POST /openapi/v2.0/reconstruction/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions) — The server returns OSS upload STS + Job info + resource info.
2.
List: Get Real-time Mapping Task List (GET /openapi/v2.0/reconstruction/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions) — Supports filtering by status, name, UUID.

Reconstruction Tasks — Post-processing Reconstruction (Post 2D / 3D)#

Available waylines: Query Wayline List Available for Model Reconstruction (GET /openapi/v2.0/wayline/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/recon-waylines) — Includes name, template type, latest flight time, GSD, etc. Query supports filters such as page, size (required pagination), uuid, key (keyword), template_type, order_by, smart_oblique_on, etc.

Default area of interest: Get Post-Reconstruction Default Area of Interest (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions/interest-area) — Query parameter is folder_uuids (list of media folder UUIDs, consistent with spec naming); the server calculates the convex hull based on the media coverage range under these folders.

Initiate: Initiate Post-processing Reconstruction Task (Post 2D / 3D) (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions) — Required fields: name (task name), reconstruction_type (reconstruction type), folder_uuids (list of media folder UUIDs participating in reconstruction); optional fields: generate_model_formats (output format), quality_level (quality level), predefine_area (area of interest), gcp_settings (ground control point settings), wkt (target coordinate system).

Stop: Stop Post-Reconstruction Task (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions/stop) — The task status becomes stopped; generated intermediate results are retained; cannot be retried after stopping.
Retry: Post-Reconstruction Task Retry (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions/retry) — Only valid for failed status; tasks in stopped status cannot be retried.

Report: Get Post-Reconstruction Quality Report Download Link (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions/report) — Includes reconstruction quality assessment, check point / control point error, aerial triangulation precision.

Sort: Adjust Map Model Layer Overlay Order (POST /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/maps/models/move).

Single entry update: Update Mapping Task Metadata (Rename / Show-hide / Distribute / Cancel Distribute / Toggle Terrain) (PUT /openapi/v2.0/reconstruction/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions/{job_uuid}) — Only tasks that are completed (status=3) or failed (status=4) can be modified.
Batch terrain: Batch Set Terrain Loading Status of Real-time Mapping Models (PUT /openapi/v2.0/reconstruction/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions/batch).
Sort: Adjust Real-time Mapping Model Display Order (Drag-and-Drop Sorting) (POST /openapi/v2.0/reconstruction/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/reconstructions/move).

Model Coordinate System (WKT)#

Query all WKTs supported by the current deployment online via Get List of Available Coordinate Systems (WKT) for the Project (GET /openapi/v2.0/model/api/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/wkts), as input for format / coordinate system conversion.
